The Electrode E12 can be used for wood or soft building materials (drywall, plaster...) to a maximum measuring depth of 2" (50mm). For up to 7" (17.5cm) measuring depth see >>Electrode E16>> or >>Electrode E10>>.The slide hammer is moved up and down to drive the pins in and out of the wood. Teflon-insulated pins measure only between the tips and give core readings even if the surface is wet. The professional tool to obtain true core readings. Ideal for checking sub floors without removing floor boards or measuring fiber boards through stucco or testing structural lumber. |
