The functionally designed mini-Ligno E/C fits in your hand when  measuring and is small enough to carry in a shirt-pocket. The green cap covers the pins during transportation and serves as a handle when pushing the pins into the wood. This unique design allows pushing behind the entire meter to insert the tapered pins easily. Longer pins are stored inside the meter for measuring thicker material. The short pins are ideal for surface or end cut readings and for veneer.

 For measurements, push the pins into wood. The unique on-off switch between the pins, turns meter on automatically and bright LED lights instantly indicate moisture percentage.

PK Probes

for In-Kiln

Readings

 

The insulated PK-Probes are set into pre-drilled holes in the wood about 1 1/4" apart. A pulling Tool #PT is available to place the probes correctly and to remove the probes easily. At any time the PK-mini Cable can be connected to the mini-Ligno DX/C to obtain moisture readings. If the wood temperature inside the kiln is over 850F (300C) the readings need to be temperature corrected using a chart in the mini-Ligno manual. If using the chart is too cumbersome the >>Lignometer K has temperature corrections built-in.

Given length of probe is measuring depth, dia 1/8" (3mm):

#PKA:   1/2" (12.5mm) long for up to 4/4 or 5/4 lumber

#PKB:   3/4" (19.5mm) long for up to 6/4 lumber

#PKC:   1" (25mm) long for up to 8/4 lumber

#PKD:  1 1/2" (38mm) long for up to 16/4 lumber

Cables

Each PK-mini Cable connects one pair of PK-Probes to the mini-Ligno DX/C. One split end of the Cable has 5/34" (2mm) connectors to fit the mini-Ligno DX/C. The other split end has 5/32" (4mm) Plugs to fit the PK Probes:
